We’re well into November – so the Halloween candy should no longer a breakfast staple, and late fall will be rapidly morphing into Old Man Winter. It’s hard to believe that 2011 is drawing to a close now that we’re in Q4.
Great time to look for a job? Not everyone seems to think so…and that could be great news for you!
As 2011 winds down, some job seekers may put their job search efforts on hold. This time of year seems to discourage many from forging ahead in finding their dream career, even though hiring trends have been somewhat optimistic as we approach year end and the holiday season.
But we know you’re smarter than that! There is an advantage to keeping your job search moving in the last weeks of the year. While others will restart their efforts in January, you’ll have the advantage of less competition and may be in the right place at the right time with a company who hasn’t given up either. Many companies still have budget and are looking to hire by year end to start off the New Year with their creative team ready to go.
So before you even think about carving the turkey and how many shopping days are left, keep the momentum going in your job search. Your career will thank you!
