How do you define our May Talent Spotlight, Kelly M.? Visually curious. A graphic designer with a love of packaging design, Kelly embraces design that brings together functionality and visual appeal. Her favorite aspect of design is that it is always changing and consequently there is always something new to spike her creativity.
On assignment with CM Access in a packaging design role at a large retail pharmacy and healthcare corporation, Kelly’s Career Advocate Lisa Manning proudly reports she’s doing a great job. Lisa attributes Kelly’s success to her passion for design and strong skill set.
Kelly has developed an array of design expertise, including branding identity and logos, promotional web banners, print design, packaging design, license packaging and product photography. While pursuing her BA in Design and Interactive Media, Kelly held an interactive internship at a top news network. She designed graphics for news content on the web, quickly conceptualizing ideas for breaking news stories, producing graphics for a new page on worldwide news.
Kelly’s passion for packaging design and her technical skills both grew in her next position as graphic designer at a leading sporting goods firm. She designed consumer goods packaging for five consecutive seasons, winning business with major retailers including Target and Wal-Mart. A record number of clicks and sales were created on the company’s website through Kelly’s promotional banners. She also acted as packaging specialist and creative liaison for all licensed vendors including ESPN, Nickelodeon and Wham-o.
Lending her skills to a good cause, Kelly volunteers her creative talent to Grassroots.org to help non-profit organizations raise awareness through logo design, website design brochures and business cards.
